Tour de Broads Winter Series 2023/4

The Tour de Broads Winter Series is a collection of road cycling sportives designed to increase your mileage, fitness and winter cycling happiness 🙂  It starts with 25 miles before Christmas, 35 miles at New Year and finally 50 miles mid January. A great way to kickstart your winter and for new riders just getting started and looking for some extra motivation.

You can expect the usual TPR Events hospitality, fully inclusive refreshments including a warming soup and roll, mechanical support, free souvenir photos, fully signposted routes and a tasty Adnams! 

Enter just the one, or complete all three to collect the whole set of our bespoke 2023 interlocking medals and be in for a chance of winning our Christmas hamper on 17th December thanks to our friends at Finance Shop.

Winter Challenge #1 - 25 Mile Route

Sunday 17th December is part 1 of your challenge beginning from Whitlingham Country Park. A gentle 25 mile loop heading south with a refreshment stop half way. Tea, coffee and glorious homemade flapjacks will ensure your ride is calorie-neutral. Set amidst the quiet country lanes of South Norfolk, this ride is perfect for beginners and experienced riders alike.5

Winter Challenge #2 - 35 Mile Route

Our second in the Series takes place on Saturday 30th December.  This route takes you a little further Southwest, again on relatively quiet country lanes and stopping at a Village Hall for refreshments half way round to keep you fuelled.

Winter Challenge #3 - 50 Mile Route

Our final ride of the Series is on Sunday 14th January and incorporates quiet country lanes as well as some slightly bigger roads for you to get into a rhythm and eat up the miles. More flapjacks at the half way drink stop before returning for your medal and warming soup.
